Bermuda

Since income taxes have not historically been imposed on corporations in Bermuda, tax returns have not been required to be completed for corporate income tax compliance purposes.

As discussed in Significant Developments and Taxes on corporate income, Bermuda has enacted CITA 2023 which is expected to result in Bermuda corporate income tax filings; however, there is limited guidance in relation to the administration of CITA 2023.  Of note, the Bermuda CIT is effective in 2025; as such, the related Bermuda annual tax compliance filings would not be expected until the CIT is effective.
